STapleton & Frazier Class
2016-2017
We had a fantastic time engaging in Colonial Day activities on Friday! It was the perfect way to end our unit. We engaged in a butter making STEAM Challenge, created cornmeal playdough, flapjacks, and an edible TeePee craft (to discuss the examples of conflict/cooperation between Native Americans and American Colonists). In the coming weeks, be on the look out for our Holiday Party letter!

We are very proud of how the students have been doing this year. We have already seen so much improvement in all of them! The students and us had a fantastic time on our field trip to Stone Mountain. We're looking forward to Colonial Day next Friday, November 18, which is how we are closing our American Colonies unit. After Thanksgiving our students will begin learning fractions and continue multiplying and dividing. In ELA we will continue to work on Informational Writing & Identifying Informational Text Structures & Features. In Social Studies we will begin learning about the Causes of the American Revolution. In Science we have begun our Water Cycle/Weather Storyline. I look forward to ending the semester strong! :)
